Shipton said Julian's younger brother had been able to visit him in Belmarsh Prison and found Assange to be "emaciated, suffering anxiety and his wellbeing declining rapidly."

Lawyer and UN Special Rapporteur on Torture @NilsMelzer filed a report in May condemning "the deliberate, concerted and sustained nature of the abuse inflicted on Mr. Assange" and said he was showing "all symptoms typical for prolonged exposure to psychological torture."
John Shipton said "in my feeling Julian depends greatly on the support of Australians and that support has been unflagging, but the government takes no notice." Letters have been written to @ScottMorrisonMP asking him to urgently address the matter "otherwise we will lose him".
