This #SundayMorning it's time to debunk a few myths surrounding Epstein's suicide and answer this fundamental question.

Will co-conspirators like Epstein's madam Ghislaine Maxwell every be held accountable?
(THREAD)

thedailybeast.com/jeffrey-epstei…
(2) First off, we need to put this particular conspiracy theory to bed for good. There is no evidence that Barr visited Epstein in jail. Both Snopes and Fact Check rate this internet rumor as false.

factcheck.org/2019/08/basele…
(3) The one quote from which all of this speculation originates comes from an informant who ratted out the Gotti family and has a reputation for sensational false claims. Kasman hasn't visited the jail Epstein was held in since 1992.

snopes.com/fact-check/eps…
(4) As for the continued mystery surrounding Epstein's death, the autopsy results support a "suicide by hanging." Increasingly, the circumstances of Epstein's death are becoming a conversation about a poorly staffed and callous prison system.

newyorker.com/magazine/2019/…
(5) As for Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's madam, she's recently been spotted since Epstein's death dining out at a burger joint in Los Angeles.

She has not yet faced any criminal charges for her involvement related to the Epstein case.

nypost.com/2019/08/15/jef…
(6) What Maxwell did face was a civil lawsuit for defamation brought by Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's alleged victims. Some speculate the documentation that was a result of that lawsuit prompted Epstein's suicide.

cnn.com/2019/08/10/us/…
(7) The civil lawsuit ended in a settlement for Guiffre, but it also revealed that while Maxwell tried to claim the girl was a liar and someone she rarely interacted with, flight logs show she shared 23 flights with Giuffre on the Lolita Express.

theguardian.com/us-news/2019/a…
(8) Another Epstein victim, Jennifer Araoz, has filed a civil lawsuit against Epstein's estate, Maxwell, and three other women employed by Epstein. She alleges they all conspired to allow Epstein to repeatedly assault and rape her in 2002.

time.com/5651186/jeffre…
(9) What happens next?

-Accusers will file civil actions against the Epstein estate and co-conspirators
-The Manhattan US Attorney's office may indict Maxwell & others on charges related to the case
-A Congressional inquiry into the suicide will proceed

vox.com/2019/8/12/2080…
(10) No matter what happens next, it's certain that Jeffrey Epstein's death is just the beginning of the story and that hopefully, time will continue to unravel the mysteries of this case and bring the guilty to justice.

Utah is ranked bottom of the nation for equal pay, education & air quality. They ban books, abortion & gender affirming care. Utah routinely engages in censorship of its own citizens. It is a dangerous place to live for LGBTQ people, women, and children.

In high school in the 90s my first job that wasn’t working for my parents (I’d worked for them starting at 12) was behind the meat counter at a local grocery.

I wanted to stock shelves but the owner never hired girls to stock shelves.
I was 15.

(2) It was a very small NH town. If you were a kid and you wanted a job, this was where you worked. Period.

Once I started I realized the manager of the meat department was an utter misogynistic asshole. Dave loved the power trip of controlling and taunting young girls.
(3) When you were the new girl the rule was you cleaned the meat room every night. It was a horrible job washing away all the blood & guts & sanitizing it.

The new girl cleaned it every shift until it was done correctly.

Who decided when you’d done it correctly? Dave did.
