Reading tweets about cancel culture is way more fun when you replace “cancel culture” with “criticism”
I’ll make this clear one time: this is making fun of people who misuse the phrase “cancel culture” by loosely applying it to instances of people who are just expressing their disagreement/disappointment with someone, with zero threat of that person being “silenced” in any way.
Expressing disagreement is not cancel culture. Being disappointed w someone’s views is not “canceling” them. Choosing not to support someone is not “silencing” them
Hiding behind these terms when someone doesn’t like a thing you like makes you look like a giant dramatic ass baby
A video of what they’re claiming shows 5 people standing 100 feet from the building. Thousands of people have now latched onto a morphing, sensationalized story of a crowd of protestors “chanting” this phrase and blocking entry, so, they accomplished what they wanted to with this
Owning a book doesn’t mean you co-sign the views it contains or that you even necessarily think it’s that great. Some things you own are a result of wanting to experience a work that had a cultural impact, understand when people discuss it, or just to see what you take from it
But yeah anyways women you all read whatever you want; men you’re on THIN FUCKING ICE
The episode of trailer park boys where the judge lets Ricky smoke and swear while representing himself is top tier
“my first order of business is to tell the prosecutor to shut the fuck up, and wipe that stupid fuckin grin off his face because he’s distraculating my case”
Decided to finally start Justified. 7 minutes in and Timothy Olyphant has already racked up one kill and said the name of the show. So that’s a 10/10 so far.
9 min in and Walton Goggins just pulled out a rocket launcher. Why the hell didn’t I watch this sooner
