I’m on #deliverancelost a Corax/Raven Guard book by @gavthor. His name is familiar, but I think this is the first one I’ve listened to by him. Narrated by Gareth Armstrong.

I like Corax. He seems like a nice upstanding Primarch. I wonder what bad stuff will happen to him 😕

I’ve noticed when the narrators do the emperor voice they deepen their voice considerably, even when the emperor is appearing as a “normal” dude. Is that a direction? I think it’s a little silly. I get it, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it’s interesting that we’re spending more time with the Primarchs as HH goes on. Like, we didn’t spend a whole lot of time with Horus. Or Fulgrim. Only a little bit with Lorgar.

I’m not sure who I see as Corax. Hmm. I’ll think on that.

Omg they had to take an elevator, and they all squeezed in, so two space marines had to ride on servitors backs in order to fit. 😹😹 these goofballs.

I picture Corax leaning back and reading a book or cleaning a giant Bolter while they all debate about who goes down.

Oh yeah, this is also a Alpha legion book so the twins are in it.

In books and movies that feature a large number of kids there’s -always- a set of twins.

I really like Corvis Corax.

He’s just so genuine. In his flashbacks he’s just so *nice* and sweet.

Ok, so by the time the emperor (big daddy E) finds Corax the missing Primarchs had already been written off.

I can’t get over how earnest Corax is when Daddy E is telling him that he has brothers and other people *like him*.

The name Corvus Corax literally means “common raven”. I really want the Emperor to call Corax “My little raven”.

Corax got hugs and friends growing up, that’s why he’s not a huge asshole.

Corax has no time at all for the Word Bearers after Istvaan 5.
Honestly, these books really make me wish I could draw.

I would draw a scene where Constantin Valdor is running around trying to take care of 20 bb Primarchs. He’d be all frazzled and the bbs would be hanging off of him and generally causing havoc.

Like, bb Horus would be playing with little army guys scattered all over, and Connie would be stepping on them. Bb Dorn would be building a lego wall. Russ would be snoozing on a wolf dog. Magnus would basically be Chuckie from Rugrats

Unless something drastic changes in the next 50 books Corax is now my favorite Primarch. Again, because he’s just so earnest. I just wanna be like “oh sweetie, this is a bad idea”

Ugh Literally all the survivors of the dropsite massacre and Istvaan 5 have some form of PTSD. 😢

I mean, in the history of Bad Ideas that all the Primarchs have had, fast growing a new breed of space marine from little kids is right up there.

Deliverance Lost ended on a somewhat positive note with the Raven Guard. They beat an Emperors Children garrison, Corax learned a valuable lesson about taking shortcuts, and none of his childhood friends were killed. @GavThorpeCreate this was a really good experience!
