@ErnstCornelia Same by good question by @VollathBettina on law enforcement backdoors for encryption. Johansson talks about need to 'find right balance' between fundamental rights and safety for citizens. We will 'have to find [it] together with you, with the Council'. Not a strong answer.
@ErnstCornelia @VollathBettina And again a "will-come-back"-reply: @moritzkoerner asks how Johansson will approach data retention and data-hungry law enforcment. She nods to privacy concerns, saying authorities should 'use data we have'. But she stops short of ruling out new data retention laws.
A bit disappointing to have no firm commitments on limiting state surveillance powers. Also, on eEvidence Johansson again says she 'will have to come back to you'. Not a strong performance for the Commissioner designated to take the main security portfolio.
