Ancient SriRama temple at Pattithara in Palakkad Kerala is lying in ruins and idols broken to pieces.

We will restore this temple and restart worship of Lord SriRam.

Design plan of the temple is being made. Ashtamangala Prashna ritual will be held soon to decide the nature of Deity.

Ashtamangala Prashna was conducted at Kottappadam Sreerama temple which was destroyed during Tipu invasion.

After many centuries, lamps were lighted and daily prayers restarted at the temple. Namajapa will be held every Wednesday.

First step in restoration of Kottappadam Srirama temple is to shift the Deity to a temporary abode called Balalaya. Garbagriha will be dismantled after that.

Work for Balalaya will start soon as per plan and Lord Srirama will be shifted on 22 Nov 2019.

Today 22.11.19, priests shifted the Deity Lord Sriram to Balalaya.

Lord Sriram will be worshipped there until the restoration of temple is complete.

During this Balalaya Pratishta, devotees promise before Deity that they will complete restoration of the Garbagriha and do Punar Pratishta within a time period.
