*Rating some of the whiskies I've had. If anyone has recommendations, please reply below.

*I don't like smoked whiskies. So as much as Talisker is a crowd favourite, I don't like it.
Let's start with a classic.
The Macallan. 9/10.

The Mike Ross to my Harvey Specter. What a joy this chappie is. 😍 Image
From Japan, the finest from the good house of Suntory.

The Chita. 9.5/10.

No ice, no water. A smashing beauty this work of art. Image
The heaviest bottle and a hefty price, but not a heavy hitter.

Johnnie Walker. Blue Label. 7/10.

Expensive != Quality. Image
From the Highlands, a whisky that's quite popular these days and rightly so.

Aberfeldy. 7.5/10. Image
The Speyside single malt had many a promise, but failed to deliver. What a beautiful bottle that is though.

The Glenrothes. 5/10. Image
Every once in a while, you participate in a fad. Don't.

Johnnie Walker. White Walker. 2/10.

Some things are best left to the dead. Image
The budget friendly whisky when you're 15 people plus.

Dewar's. White Label. 6/10.

Because budgets matter with a crowd 😉 Image
One would assume Singleton has more whiskies than people in Scotland. 😂

Singleton. Dufftown. 12yo. 7/10

Worth a sip on a boring day and you don't know which one to guzzle. Image
A traveller's delight an aiport duty free popular.

Glenfiddich. Select Cask. 5/10.

On the fence. Some swear by it, most just want a Glen in the cabinet. Image
It's a pity the Platinum is being discontinued. Was a charming ol chap.

Johnnie Walker. Platinum Label. 8/10.

Blended, but a beauty. Image
Most Indian 'whiskies' are rums. A molasses mash. Then came Amrut. And for a while things seemed like it would get better. But, nope.

Amrut. Indian single malt. 3/10.

A rum parading as a whisky. Image
It's not the brand, never is. Each whisky is distinct.

The Macallan. Select Oak. 7/10. Image
A reaffirmation on why smoked whiskies are not my thing.

Bowmore. 15yo. 2/10.

4 people, just about finished half a bottle. Difficult..😂
Folks who love smoked whiskies swear by Ardbeg.

The Ardbeg. An OA. 1/10.

To be fair, the father loves it. Smells like goan pork sausages 😷 Image
A dad favourite and one that every whisky lover has had.

Chivas Regal. 18yo. 6/10.

Meant for the gruff who wants that kick super fast. 😂 Image
The nation that gave us Chita, also gave us Kamiki. A painful 48% alcohol volume to send you in a tizzy the moment you taste it.

Kamiki. Blended. 2/10.

A 575ml bottle because it's not worth favouring more 😒. Image
The folks who have the tallest stills in Scotland have served is some fine whiskies, but not this one.

Glenmorangie. The Duthac. 4/10.

An experiment gone wrong - A summary of Mornagie's Duthac. Image
Don't judge a whisky by its price. 3 people finished a bottle in 2 nights while we were on a cruise.

Cooper Dog. 7.5/10.

Pleasantly surprised and an unbelievably cheap whisky. Good work. 👌 Image
Ok look, not all smoked whiskies are bad. The distillery owned by William Grant & Sons has a gem.

Aisla Bay. Sweet Smoke. 8/10.

That bottle is graceful, just as the whisky was. A smoked, but aptly named sweet smoke beauty 😊 Image
From the makers of The Famous Grouse comes a limited edition 'Naked Grouse'. Got many a grouse with this one.

Naked Grouse. 5/10.

A fence sitter you can do away with 😉 Image
A portion of this whisky was matured in red wine casks, resulting in juicy berry notes. It means 'morning Sky' in Gaelic and is quite a refresher.

Bunnahabhain Eirigh Na Greine. 8.5/10.

Tasty, slurpy and the kind of whisky you'll savour. Much recommended 👍 Image
Another beauty from William Grant. A cocktail delight and a creamy blend that's bound to surprise.

Monkey Shoulder. 8/10.

Pair it with ice and you have a worldie 🥃 Image
Whisky is history.

The Lost Distillery is a brand that aims to recreate some of the age-old whiskies that were shut down for economic reasons.

Towiemore was abandoned after WW1 because of water shortage.

Towiemore. 7.5/10

To recreating a bygone era 👌 Image
Founded by a whisky smuggler, riddled with controversy over changing a single malt with a blended and calling it a "pure malt", this bad boy has his share of stories.

Cardhu. Single Malt. 12yo. 5.5/10.

If your foundation is weak, your whisky will falter. 😉 Image
The 1826 distillery started by Sir William Pulteney in an island has its fair share of stories. Its 12yo is an award winning whisky. The lesser known successor holds up to the lofty praise.

Old Pulteney. 10yo. 7.5/10

A clean cut whisky glass and to be had neat. Yum. Image
The Beast of Dufftown is named after Dr. Alexander Cowie, who created a unique "2.81 distillation process" in 1896. They distil its spirit a unique 2.81 times.

Mortlach. 14yo. 9/10.

Get your finest glass, be generous with the helping. This is one to savour. ❤ Image
This whisky is kept for 12 months in 228-litre Red Burgundy wine casks imported from France - the name of which I can't pronounce 😂

Tullibardine 228. 8.5/10

6 people. 30 minutes. Was so smooth, it could be a pickup line in itself - TULLIBARDINE 😉 Image
A whisky celebrating the repeal of the Prohibition era; capturing nostalgia in a similar black bottle with a cork screw as in the 1920's.

Cutty Sark. Prohibition Edition. 6.5/10.

You can't cajole people into loving their history. Keep up with the times 😉 Image
A testimony to Japanese whisky from the grandiose stables of Suntory - A blend featuring whisky from Scotland, the U.S. Ireland, Japan & Canada. 🔥😳

Suntory. AO. 6.5/10

Sucrose overdose, but a sure shot hit for a few. (Tbf, I need to have more of this) Image
Gotta love the Japanese for their consistency. In a distillery 65km from a nuclear plant, a portmanteau of two Japanese terms 'Yama' - 'mountain' & 'Sakura' - cherry tree.

Yamazakura. 7.5/10.

Smooth, floral, honey on ice, a blossomed cherry. It's a good evening 👍 Image
From the house of the third largest whisky producer in the world, W. Grant & Sons, has an immaculately crafted bottle inspired by the 1920s architecture in Paris.

House of Hazelwood 18yo. 8.5/10.

Creamy, two cubes of ice, don't even think of the water.🥃 Image
Glendullan is the youngest of the Singleton distilleries by a year. But it was built in 1897. Historic grades, these beautiful chapped bottles.

Singleton. Glendullan. Classic. 8/10.

Stay At Home. Savour with water. 😉 Image
