Remember that curioisty, as your train penetrated into a city, passing thru its railway phataks where bikers waited patiently for your train to pass, your face pressed against the window, trying to read shop-boards, sex clinic ads to figure out which city it was.
Like a competition with yourself. Picking clues, racing against time, before the train drew nearer to the platform and revealed its name to you. The name on a stone plaque, black on Yellow. It might decieve you like Naini before Allahabad. Whatay beautiful game! :)
And during Evening time, as the train eased into the city, a field appears where kids are playing Cricket, the bowler takes his run-up, you press you face against the window rails to see what happened, but the train moves on before you could see how did the batsman fare. 🙄
And if at a curve, you managed to see the coaches of your own train, it was like a surreal out of body experience. Wow, I am traveling in this giant red caterpillar of metal. A feeling of self awareness.
