Abrar’s work & his life-time preoccupation cannot be understood without understanding the object of his fixation, his devotion, his passion & his love: #Eritrea & the #Eritrean people. And, yes, about Eritrea’s interrupted journey & about its mesmerizing future.
This is a tribute to Abrar’s still uncompleted journey of almost half a century:
Abrar - the young rebel who in the 1970s answered his generation’s calling;

Abrar - the refugee who continued his struggle with a new resolve in Sudan in the 1980s;
Abrar – the grey man in the diaspora whose voice never for once faltered through the 1990s up to current times.

This is also a tribute to the traumatized young man - who was thrust into darkness during the bloody internecine wars b/n ELF & EPLF, an experience that shattered his belief system,.....
....& a tribute to the resilience, growth, maturity & wisdom of the reborn fighter who stepped out of darkness to see the light.
