I have been a loyal @wmata rider for 9 years now. I have not once had a negative interaction with a metro employee - until tonight. The station manager @ #whiteflint declined to let me use the customer restroom. I now know why @unsuckdcmetro exists. 1/

@wmata @unsuckdcmetro @unsuckdcmetro the first words out of out of station mgr's mouth were not "how can I help you?" but "you couldn't say 'excuse me'? You can't see this other man and I are speaking?" I replied, "can I please use the customer restroom?" 3/
@wmata @unsuckdcmetro @unsuckdcmetro the station mgr replies "You need to go 'wee wee'?" me: "uhh yeah that's why I asked...." stn mgr: "You can use the port-o-johns around the side of the station" me: "ok so I can't use the restroom labeled "CUSTOMER RESTROOM" right over there...?" 4/

@wmata @unsuckdcmetro @unsuckdcmetro ...so sue me. I had to take a 'wee wee' but this guy didn't find it in his capacity to walk over and unlock the bathroom for a loyal customer. I had always thought that the cynicism surrounding @wmata was a bit harsh. Tonight I am sad to report that I now 'get it'.
@wmata @unsuckdcmetro @unsuckdcmetro I have been looking at electric vehicles for a while. Perhaps it's time I finally pull the trigger and stop giving @wmata my $216 / mo. And they wonder why ridership is down year after year after year. I will name my car "white flint".
