Early morning panoramic views from #DCA of the Washington Monument and the Capitol. Super Tuesday takes me to #Burlington, #Vermont.
Views of DC on the way to Philadelphia.
Those “people-movers” that make #IAD such an international embarrassment lost one of their own over here at #PHL Philadelphia. #peoplemover#mobilelounge
Hello Burlington, VT.
Quick jaunt to the smallest state capital in the country. #Montpelier is quite the charmer.
Meanwhile, my quixotic quest to visit all state capitals, and indeed Capitols, continues. Here’s the Vermont State House: instagram.com/p/B9PWvzDhQkx/…
Inside the Vermont State House, among other attractions, is Lincoln in what appears to be a broom closet.
And then there’s this magnificent portrait of former Governor Howard Dean:
A walk around #Burlington took me to two campaign headquarters. The @BernieSanders office is getting ready for his Super Tuesday rally. The @MikeBloomberg office was empty bar one man and a dog.
Putin is not excluding a meeting with Zelensky. From the #Luxembourg PM’s spokesperson after the call:
“Putin says negotiations need to advance further before a meeting with Zelensky is possible. Putin says they are not there yet, without however excluding this path entirely."
BREAKING: shots appear to have been fired at George Floyd Square. Quiet now. People still sheltering in place.
We heard a few dozens sounds of what appear to have been shots fired on this block. Everyone sheltered in place. Lots of running. No apparent need for medics. Will update.
From our vantage point we see one broken window, apparently from one of the shots fired. Consensus among reporters here at George Floyd Square was that we heard anywhere between a dozen and two dozen shots fired.
Marcus Jones of Houston makes his first visit to the place where his school friend George Floyd died. He didn’t know it was the anniversary of his friend’s murder. But this was the day he decided to stop his truck on one of his long-distance drives across the country.

The eve of the anniversary of George Floyd’s death.
Court is back in session in the Derek Chauvin trial. The former Minneapolis police officer is in the courtroom, wearing a grey suit and a black mask. Jury selection still set to begin at 9 AM CT.
Jury selection could still be delayed if a higher court decision is made on whether a third degree murder charge will be reinstated. For now, things proceed as set out by the district judge yesterday.
Until 9 AM CT motions can be discussed by attorneys, as is the case right now.
Hello from Minneapolis, and from another building surrounded by fences and barbed wire. The trial of former police officer Derek Chauvin in the killing of George Floyd starts with jury selection this Monday.
