1) People still aren't being tested in this country for #COVIDー19 because we still don't have nearly enough tests.
2) Most people have a mild form of #coronavirus and are interacting with the public hoping they just have allergies, a cold or even mild flu.
3) A large percentage of the population
a) can't afford to take off work.
b) can't afford to go to the doctor, especially if it's the mild version
4)The entire Trump administration is bumbling through this, when they should have been dealing with this weeks ago like Pros.
5) With all of our knowledge and technology, the only way you can successfully deal with a pandemic is by being prepared to coordinate every aspect of your society; federal, state, local governments and the private sector.
6) @realDonaldTrump has systematically fired and defunded the infrastructure that Obama put into place after Ebola to deal with a pandemic response. This apparently includes the management in the CDC that was competently capable of dealing with an outbreak.
7) In it’s 3+ years the Trump administration hasn’t handled anything correctly:
-Puerto Rico
-Climate Change
-Pollution
-The tax cuts (they didn't help the economy at all and exploded the deficit.)
-2 unnecessary government shutdowns
-Pardons
-Management of parks and public land
...You get it, my brain is starting to hurt. (finish the list in comments)
8) In most of the above cases he has actually 100% did the wrong thing and made it worse.
9) There is no miracle cure for #CoronavirusOutbreak on the way (please prove me wrong). And a SAFE vaccine to PREVENT getting it won't be ready for over a year.
10) We have a President misinforming his sycophant followers that actually believes he knows better than everybody.
11) It's impossible to shut down any society, but because of our social culture, and the economics
Most people are going to be susceptible to infection.
12) The reason the death rate is high and seems to be rising is probably because there are so many unknown cases
If you add all this up it is hard to come to any other conclusion than we are going to have a fairly widespread and devastating outbreak in this country and it's underway right now.
On the very low end this will cause tens of thousands of deaths.
The economic impact could very well ruin hundreds of thousands of lower and middle-income families and thousands or even tens of thousands of small businesses, especially restaurants and bars.
Finally, if this gets bad enough Trump will use it to declare a national emergency and probably suspend the elections indefinitely.
If that happens he will be a dictator with authortarian powers, and we all have seen how he handles checks and balances.
So I guess the question is...
At what point is the, or has the, @realDonaldTrump administrations response to this been a political calculation to become the Supreme leader of America. He knows his legal exposure, he’s seen the polls, he has no problem with acting like a dictator
@realDonaldTrump cannot afford to lose in 2020 at all costs. So, what is he capable of doing to make sure that he stays in power and has absolute power.
Anyone who thinks I’m being alarmist or he is not capable of this doesn't get him. This is:
A) lucky (He thrives on #darkluck)
B) lazy (all he has to do is fail. That's his one skill) and
C) a completely justified way of becoming the dictator of America.
Think about it, no soldiers deployed in American streets, the only deaths are from disease, and frankly it would be acceptable by any other POTUS
Facing the same circumstances, even under Obama, a pandemic outbreak could have happened with everything done correctly. Like any other natural disaster, a global/ national pandemic is why we have provisions like Marshall law.
If I stop tweeting it's probably because I have been abducted or killed by my own government for exposing this...
So, you should probably go buy a gun if you don't already have one.
Trump touts a lot of #StableGenius knowledge about a lot of stuff. Even though he's not even at all good at his chosen profession... which is amateur golf guy... I guess.
And he’s not even good at lying, in fact he might be worse than most 4 year olds. But he is an expert @
(that symbol means at) One thing...
Failure!
In fact, he is the worlds foremost leading expert at failure.
He could be an expert witness in trials.
He could give lectures.
Have someone write a book for him on the subject.
And it would be a worthy textbook in Failure 101.
The fact is @realDonaldTrump has been a successful professional failure for so long that success at this point in his life would be considered a tragedy and he wouldn’t have the first clue how to handle it. Which is exactly what happened when he became president.
