1.0 Telemedicine, Your Time is Now

The most effective tool to help minimize the impact of the initial spread of this virus has been on the sidelines this whole time. We put ourselves at greater risk by going to hospitals to be evaluated, when we could undergo a pre-screening
1.1 by leveraging telemedicine. However, current regulations in place prohibit the widespread adoption of telemedicine which would help increase the effectiveness of social distancing (flattening the curve) and reducing the patient load in hospitals.
1.2
There’s a solution right in front of us and a healthier future, if we can only change our thinking about healthcare processes and embrace telemedicine. Millions of lives are at stake.

Our senior population is at the highest risk with COVID-19 and they need physical
1.3 and mental support, in the safest manner possible. Leaving their homes at this point is taking an unnecessary risk, and as a country we need to evolve and utilize telemedicine. Let’s walk through exactly what it’s going to take to make that happen.
2.0 If you’re a doctor/nurse/therapist/counselor or any other medical professional, it is vital to know the current laws around telemedicine to understand the scope of providing care to patients in different states.
2.1 We all want to help as many people as possible. There is a free app called Tele-Mental Health laws, which will help you navigate these regulations. You can download it here:

3.0 Now, @realDonaldTrump we need your help in rolling back regulations during this crisis. It can be temporary in nature, but we need to remove the regulations and allow cross-state patient care.

@AOC and @RepMattGaetz, who do we need to bring together to get this done?
4.0 On the topic of rolling back regulations, @naval and @balajis have both been covering COVID-19 on clearing the company not every drug/device

5.0 Once those regulations are rolled back we already have apps and systems designed to connect our patients, safely in a virtual environment with the care they need. Here is where @Whenhub comes into play @ScottAdamsSays.
5.1 Patients can safely connect directly to doctors and mental health professionals. @drdrew is on there and has spoken positively about it.
6.0 In times of crisis, we need accurate information to be provided in a way that does not incite panic. @drdrew provides this as he speaks candidly about the coronavirus
7.0 Our path forward
Minimizing the impact of this crisis on our country will only be obtained with unity and solidarity. We need to leverage future technologies to increase the reach of our resources in a way that reduces risk while providing care to those wherever they are.
7.1 In the midst of this crisis, the best tool for this job has been right under our fingertips this whole time, telemedicine.

Social distancing is proving to be our best option, and telemedicine will only make this approach more effective.
7.2 We have many resources available to us right now. Applications like Skype, Zoom, Google Hangouts and FaceTime are readily accessible video conference technologies,
7.3 while products like @whenhub are providing patients with on-demand, direct access to medical professionals from anywhere in the world, without the risk of going to hospitals.
