You can’t tell people they aren’t allowed to go out for food, medicine & basic supplies until you have a system in place to distribute those.

And to answer your question, it is because I live on my civil liberties even as I’m willing to give up the *minimal* in true emergencies.
I don’t know if we‘re headed there of course. But look how far minds have mentally come from 2 weeks ago. It is now *not* far fetched to imagine martial law within a month. Two more weeks of the same pace of change would get you there.

California is expected to stay home. Think.
Lastly it’s not driving a police state narrative. Honestly, this level of interaction is exhausting.

Think. Look. Your old world of a month ago doesn’t exist. This isn’t Dec 2019 anymore.

People don’t understand my position on Trump. Here it is:

Trump owns his critics other than me. Why? Because he says so much crazy stuff mixed in with real stuff that it is a lifetime commitment to correct him. So I decided to simply state that I view him as an existential risk.
This way:

A) I am not picking up after him intellectually every two minutes.

B) I’m not forced to pretend that everything he does is wrong just because he did it.

C) I can continue to be friends with his supporters.

D) I’m clear that he should not be our commander in chief.
But this confuses people: “why don’t you denounce everything he says and does wrong every day?”

The answer is this: “Democrats elected him by not listening. And he will not run my life the way he runs yours. You want to Run Biden(?) against him? Good luck! You‘re all crazy now.”

People ask why I’m on about masks. I’m not focused on them. I’ve been trying to tell you about my theory of Embedded Growth Obligations and how our *entire* civilian lead leadership has become deranged by them.

Masks just show us they‘re willing to kill, and without blinking.
2008 was about the theory of E.G.O.s. And it looked like this. Sooner or later we‘ll get to serious armed conflict w/ developed nations if we want to sit & wait for that.

I guess I have a vague hope that we will wake up earlier when we see Doctors & Nurses in Queens put at risk.
But maybe this is getting boring. I mean, it’s just our governmental & world organization leaders pushing us in front of a train to cover for their failures so that their careers aren’t interrupted with so much as a hiccup. So same old, same old.

Frankly, I want off the Titanic.

This was me. This was my screwup. Can others own their’s?

For the life of me I could not then...and can’t even now...make sense of this reverse Mongolian clusterf*ck. I still don’t get it. It (virus + response) still doesn’t add up.

I’m usually early. This time not. I’m sorry.
I will say this in my own defense: I knew that I never had a lock on this. I had inklings early on but no more. My experience with the inklings was that it was actually easier to talk about this as a major threat in late Jan/early Feb. Then, weirdly, it became harder socially.
It was as if sometime in mid or late February to early March there was a new official counter push to deliberately downplay the virus in an attempt to stop any negative economic impact. Something like that anyway. I have no evidence for this. This is simply how I experienced it.
