Breaking: @OregonGovBrown and @tedwheeler have announced a shelter in place/stay-at-home order for the entire state.
Portland mayor Ted Wheeler says Portlanders may be cited by law enforcement if they violate the stay-at-home directive but said police will largely not be used for this purpose.

Police are no longer making misdemeanor arrests to keep jails less crowded.
The Oregon gov. & Portland mayor seemed to say conflicting messages during the Covid-19 presser tonight. It's not entirely clear if the gov. will issue an order for the state or if she is merely urging the public to stay home. Mayor sounds ready for own city order regardless.
