If the Right “obsessed” a little more about their fraudulent reverence for traditional/conservative/family values…the Left and principled conservatives who abandoned the Republican party wouldn’t have to “obsess” about cleaning up Trump's mess...1/
But Megan Kelly is correct, “there’s so much more we need[ed] to worry to about”. Particularly Trump’s “sanity" (sociopathy/malignant narcissism). But that was a small price to pay for a bullish stock market, a tax cut, & someone who tells it like it is: 2/
When Trump bragged about being a serial sexual assaulter, perhaps family value Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump defrauded thousands of students out of millions of dollars, perhaps law and order Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
But, hey…. “Trump is gonna Trump”… 4/
When Trump defrauded charities and misappropriates money from his foundation, perhaps law and order Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump attacked Gold Star families, perhaps flag waving, troop-supporting, patriotic Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump illegally paid off a porn star (unprotected sex right after birth of his son), perhaps law and order, family values Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump criticized the mental toughness of combat veterans suffering from PTSD, perhaps flag waving, troop-supporting, patriotic Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump encouraged Russia to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, perhaps flag-waving, patriotic Republicans could have obsessed a little more over Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump put kids in cages (many abused, some died), perhaps the family values, Pro-Life Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
When Trump repeatedly obstructed Mueller's investigation into Russian interference into the 2016 election, perhaps law and order Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about his unfitness for office.
When Trump extorted foreign (Ukrainian) interference into 2020 election, patriotic strict-constitutionalist Republicans could have "obsessed" a little more about Trump’s unfitness for office.
But, hey “so what if he did it”, “Trump is gonna Trump”….13/
….and moreover, since “Trump is gonna Trump” so consistently….he can only be held accountable for actions that rise above his usual “Trump is gonna Trump” criminality: 14/
When Trump approaches 20,000 false/misleading statements (lies), perhaps personal responsibility-touting, family values Republicans could "obsess" a little more about Trump’s incompetence/unfitness for office.
At every step of Trump’s pathologically disordered/inhumane/incompetent/corrupt/treasonous presidency, GOP had countless opportunities to “obsess” over his unfitness (remove him) before a major crises occurred. They didn’t b/c "Trump is gonna Trump". 16/
And now that a global pandemic threatens the U.S./world, and has been exacerbated by both Trump’s pathological dishonesty, and sociopathic narcissistic self-interests…...17/
…..and yet, when those who have been fearing/warning/reporting about these inevitable consequences of Trump’s pathologies start to freak out over the fact that people are now unnecessarily dying as a result…. 19/
…..those same people are told not to “obsess”, b/c “Trump is gonna Trump”.
People are dying because those who had the ability/power to “obsess”, and to either prevent a Trump presidency, or extinguish it through impeachment….....didn’t.
“The degree of animosity that people have for Trump is.…a mystery to me.…it’s very mysterious.”
Also Peterson:
“[When] trust collapses, [societies] become impoverished & imperiled. The wealth of the West [is] its high levels of trust & honesty. [Trust & honesty is] the fundamental natural resource [of Western society].”
This monologue is rife with projection. Peterson is using Trump as a proxy for his own experience.
One of the most important factors in Peterson's rise to prominence is that he’s been a counterweight to a mental health field that has overwhelmingly aligned with the Left on issues that have become politicized.
Most significantly, is the mental health field’s Cluster B Personality Disorder-focused, opposition to Trump.
But there have been other issues such as the "affirming model" for kids struggling with gender confusion.
The latter issue is a subject that has had a significant effect on Peterson's life, and propelled him to becoming the ”most famous psychologist in the world”.

In April of 2021, I made my first appearance on the Lincoln project and discussed Trump’s pathology, as well as the psychology of his supporters.
The next day, FoxNews ran an interview with a psychotherapist who claimed that “liberalism is a mental disorder”.
Of course, the timing of the FOXNews interview could have been coincidental.
But even if it was, the interview was indicative of two things:
First....
....FOXNews and the Right have long recognized and feared the threat that the mental health field’s warnings about Trump's pathology presented to both Trump, and the Republican party.
If the individual believes a prior provocation exists (victimhood), the same area of the brain that is active during pleasurable experiences (dopamine)....will also be active during "retaliatory aggression:
Trump's Narcissistic Personality Disorder-driven sense of victimhood ("unfairness") & "punitive orientation" will almost certainly compel him respond with why he's justified to engage in vindictive abuse of presidential power.

...these very same people glorify Jan 6th "hostages"...
...many of whom waved "other" flags while violently overrunning the halls of congress to undemocratically/unconstitutionally subvert an election in order to keep a lying, traitorous, sociopathic narcissist in power.

Unfortunately, human beings experience something called recency bias:
Recency bias is a cognitive bias that favors recent events over historic ones; a memory bias. Recency bias gives "greater importance to the most recent event".
Article about device addiction by @brianklaas, which references @JonHaidt's book "the Anxious Generation" analyzing the effect smart phones have on kids.
I work with kids who struggle with electronic device dependency/addiction.
