A Covid-19 Tale of Trump's Tweets on Covid-19 from February 15, 2020 to March 1, 2020...when did Trump realize it was going to be a pandemic? Asking for a friend, or really friends -- Americans.

[Thread]
Well, no tweets on the topic from February 15 to 21, 2020...But let's see what was happening on February 21, 2020. Trump was there with "THOUSANDS" at the Las Vegas #TrumpRally 2/
February 22, 2020...Trump announced his rally in N. Charleston and then he was getting ready to travel with Melania for critical government business to India. Trump and Melania left on February 23, 2020. What was the urgency again about going to India? 3/
Trump's in India and is given a hero's welcome. No mention of Covid-19 (or as he calls it Chinavirus) in his speeches in India. Yea, why be a Donald Downer when the people of India are being so nice to him? 4/
Trump decides to issue a reassuring Tweet about "Coronavirus" and reassures the United States that "the Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA" and brags: "Stock Market starting to look very good to me!" No warnings about possible pandemic or how we should prepare...5/
On February 25, 2020, Trump retweets a CDC tweet and reassures Americans that "there is no community spread" and only the sick should stay home. No mention of what businesses or individuals should do if there is community spread. Does Trump not believe in planning? Guess not. 6/
Trump wants to reassure Americans that he did all needed by closing some flights/traffic from China (he never talks about trips from U.S. citizens here & lack of screening)...and is so pleased by the fact that "we haven't had one death!" What did he tell his WH staff? 7/
Trump next decides to call Schumer "incompetent" because Schumer complained that Trumps request for $2.5 Billion to prepare for Coronavirus was NOT enough. Hmmmmm...looks like Cryin' Chuck Schumer was right? Any apology issued here? Not that I've seen. 8/
Trump decides the best way to attack Covid-19 virus is to blame the "Fake News" & then remind Americans how the "USA is in great shape!" while tagging the CDC. What did CDC brass do with these tweets? Were men/women leading CDC in February leaders or mice???? Squeak, squeak...9/
Trump was so proud of the job Pence, CDC and all WH agencies was doing...but why weren't American businesses and individuals told to save money or prepare? Trump reassures us that: "Only a very small number in U.S." Whew! Did DJT understand anything about pandemics? 10/
On March 1, 2020, Trump falsely claimed that travelers were screened PRIOR to boarding from high risk countries. He lied to Americans that travelers from high risk countries would be screened upon arrival. When did Trump know this was NOT happening? What did he do about it? 11/
On March 1, 2020, Trump retweets clip of Health Human Services Sec'y Azar on Face the Nation stating "The risk to average Americans is low" & bragging about how they were working to keep it low. Ummm, that didn't work. Why did Trump & his WH not tell people to prepare? 12/
Let's walk it back to Feb. 27, 2020: 15 Covid-19 cases. Trump told Americans it may be seasonal, could get worse or "just go away." On same date, Sen. Burr told key supporters the truth: It's much "more aggressive in its transmission than anything seen," akin to 1918 virus. 13/
It's obvious. Trump, Burr & others in WH admin KNEW Americans should NOT travel to Europe, schools would probably close, & military may come in. And they did NOT tell us for almost 2 weeks. Burr told a few in a pvt club. NOT the American public. PRECIOUS TIME & LIVES LOST.

END
And let’s not forget the golf is schedule...
