Right now, Congress is negotiating over the next #COVID19 stimulus package, and it must include funding for protecting the #2020Election. We can’t let the pandemic put our right to vote in November at risk. #ProtectTheVote brennancenter.org/our-work/polic…
State and local election officials tell us they need the funding now or else they won’t be ready to carry out a safe, fair, and secure #2020Election in pandemic conditions. #ProtectTheVote brennancenter.org/our-work/resea…
We recommend:
✔️expanding vote-by-mail options
✔️expanding online voter registration
✔️making in-person voting safe
Congress must fund these efforts immediately to protect every vote in #Election2020, especially in marginalized communities. #ProtectTheVote

Today’s oral argument got away from the central question: Is a former president immune from criminal prosecution if he tried to overthrow a presidential election, using private means and the power of his office to do so? The answer is simple: No. 3/

"This is a nation that respects free and fair elections." In his speech tonight, @POTUS assailed the wave of attacks on Americans’ voting rights. Many of these threats were inspired by lies that the 2020 election was stolen from Trump. Here’s what we’ve been tracking: 🧵 1/10
