1/n Interestingly, trends in racial and immigration liberalism are *positively* correlated among white dems, but are *negatively* correlated among white republicans. 
2/n In other words, liberal attitudes towards blacks and related-policies positively predict liberal immigration attitudes among white democrats, but the former are negatively associated with immigration liberalism among white reps.
3/n It's as if white dems/libs do not differentiate between the two policy domains (whereas reps make a distinction).
