Power shortages, no clean drinking water, and hospitals with no room left for patients. That’s the status of the occupied Gaza Strip, which for 12+ years has been under constant Israeli siege, meaning little gets in or out.

Naheda Antoun, 70, was the matriarch of Gaza’s largest Christian family.

Her daughter Samar, 50, worked at a Catholic missionary for disabled Palestinian children.

Israel killed them both, one after the other, in the church where they were sheltering for their lives.
An Israeli sniper shot Naheda in the courtyard of Gaza’s Holy Family Church 3 times as she walked to the bathroom.

When Samar ran to her mother’s side to save her, the Israeli sniper shot Samar in the head, killing her too.

THREAD: A California county has divested from Caterpillar Inc. over its complicity in Israeli apartheid and genocide, marking the first time a US county has officially divested from a corporation in support of Palestine.
Alameda County—a county in California that includes the city of Oakland—will divest $32 million from Caterpillar Inc., the construction equipment manufacturer that supplies heavy machinery to the Israeli military.
The Israeli military uses Caterpillar equipment, most notably Caterpillar’s armored bulldozers, to destroy Palestinian homes and build illegal Israeli settlements on stolen Palestinian land in violation of international law.

Israel has killed humanitarian aid workers while they were in clearly-marked aid vehicles, at food distribution sites, and even while delivering food on routes that were previously coordinated with the Israeli military.

These are targeted and deliberate killings.
