I've been working on this comic for like a month and it's finally finished! The backgrounds were done by @jdebbiel! This is just part 1 (of 4!) but you can read the whole thing on Patreon right now for just $1: patreon.com/posts/get-home…
This film is a fully plagiarized, shot-for-shot remake of my comic. The filmmakers didn't ask me for permission to adapt my work. They didn't even notify me they were doing so until the film had already been released and was winning awards at film festivals.
They emailed me in October, when the film was making festival rounds, & asked me to HELP PROMOTE it. When I told them I didn't approve of it and asked them to pull it from festivals, they ghosted me for months. Now they've premiered it on @WeAreDN, & don't even credit me by name.
The comic they stole is deeply personal to me, maybe the most personal comic I've ever made. I drew it shortly after I left my day job because of disputes over ownership of my personal work. The comic is about self-care, reinvention, and personal growth.
I just finished my longest comic ever. I'll be releasing it in parts over the next several days, but you can read the whole thing now on either my Patreon or Onlyfans.
(TW: racism, abuse) I try not to talk about this much, cuz it's a bummer, but there's been a weird campaign going on against me for the past few years. It started with editing my comics to make me appear racist and graduated to gross sexual rumors about me.
I try to ignore it because I feel like giving them attention is what they want, but when fake racist comics and rumors about me being a predator who's into scatplay (gag) keep popping up on Reddit and 4chan, turning a blind eye just seems to give more power to it.
I had to change my phone number because they found it and made a fake Craiglist listing for sex. It all comes and goes in waves. It gets worse when I talk about any sort of social issues, or I'm critical of Trump. I've elaborated on this before, and I won't rehash the details.
