Trump urged reporters to look into a study showing that lupus patients were protected from coronavirus because of hydroxychloroquine, so I did. dailycaller.com/2020/04/05/tru…
The results were interesting.

Trump seems to have been pushing a study out of Wuhan that Dr. Oz and former Kansas Gov. Jeff Colyer (a plastic surgeon) have been pushing lately.
That seemed like a strike against the study, *but* two prominent rheumatologists said during a Lupus Alliance of America teleconference yesterday that they have observed virtually no lupus patients with coronavirus.

"Quite remarkable," said Dr. Daniel Wallace of Cedars-Sinai.
There is evidence though that people w/ lupus on hydroxychloroquine are coming down with coronavirus.

An alliance of doctors tracking 110 patients with autoimmune disorders said that 22 lupus patients on the drug have coronavirus.

There was a steady barrage of pro-Steele, anti-Trump leaks in 2017 and 2018. CNN reported in Feb. 2017 that parts of dossier were corroborated. WaPo's report on the existence of the FISA was meant to bolster the collusion theory.

Somehow, the truth of the matter never leaked.
CNN created a feedback loop based on spin from gov't sources who insisted that the FBI wouldn't have used the Steele dossier for FISA without first validating it. That faulty logic guided most Steele dossier analysis for the next 2 years. cnn.com/2017/04/18/pol…

Dr. Michael Osterholm, the epidemiologist who predicted the current pandemic, blasted WHO in recent podcast, saying he's "incredibly disappointed" in their assessment of the coronavirus threat.

WHO has made a series of stumbles, all of them in deference to the Chinese government.

WHO infamously tweeted on Jan. 14 that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission.

Dr. Bruce Aylward repeatedly claimed no evidence for asymptomatic cases.
Osterholm, who gained attention from his interview with Joe Rogan, said WHO's assessment provided a false sense of security.

“So we held back on a preparedness, and gave people excuses not to do it.”

The British outlet entered a content-sharing agreement in 2015 with People's Daily, the Chinese communist party newspaper.

Unclear if it is still in place, but Daily Mail has cited the propaganda mill in a bunch of coronavirus stories of late.
Daily Mail published 3,000+ articles 2015-2018 that disclosed partnership with People's Daily.

Daily Mail no longer has those disclosures, but still publishes stories entirely sourced to People's Daily and China News.
