Starting to become quite concerned by the amount of vitriol aimed at people in parks. They are allowed to walk in parks. And for families with kids living in small properties without gardens, a walk in the park is a lifeline.
Yes, keep the kids under control. Yes, keep your distance. Yes, try not to sit down or it'll become crowded. Yes, be sensible, or else they'll have to close the parks.
But there's a kind of angry puritanism developing which is unhelpful. We're operating on the intersection between people's self-interest and their social responsibility.
If you make the demands too rigid, it won't be sustainable. And we need it to be, because this shit isn't going away any time soon.
