NYT reports Trump administration will designate ultranationalist Russian Imperial Movement a terrorist org. The movement, known also by its Russian acronym RID, recruited Russians to fight in Ukraine, trained locals in Crimea during annexation operation. nytimes.com/2020/04/06/us/…
The flag in the NYT article's lead image is that of self-proclaimed & Russia-controlled "Donetsk People's Republic" in E Ukraine. Russian Imperial Movement has fought & recruited ppl to fight there. It's also close to Igor Strelkov, former Donetsk commander charged in MH17 case.

Interesting. @StateDept is now saying the US “purchased” the medical supplies from Russia. Russian authorities, diplomats and state media have been referring to it as aid, meaning free assistance.
Ah. So Russia now saying that the US purchased half of the aid, and the other half donated. We still don't know the whole story. Which aid was paid for, which was donated? How much did the US pay Russia? Why didn't we know about the payment sooner?

SCOOP: The Trump administration is withholding approval for at least six commercial orders for arms and ammunition from US companies to Ukraine together worth roughly $30 million. The sales have been delayed for a year+ and nobody knows why exactly. buzzfeednews.com/article/christ…
“It might be wise for the Ukrainians to look for other sources” to buy arms & ammo from, said a former US official who questioned White House and State Dept officials about the issue. He received only a cryptic response from both that the sales are still being “evaluated.”

Armstrong's a fascinating character. He's preached in Ukraine for ~20 yrs and has sway with senior current and former Ukraine officials, such as @Turchynov and @AvakovArsen, as well as with folks in @StateDept, like ex-@senrobportman aide Tyler Brace. buzzfeednews.com/article/christ…
