Interesting. @StateDept is now saying the US “purchased” the medical supplies from Russia. Russian authorities, diplomats and state media have been referring to it as aid, meaning free assistance. 
Ah. So Russia now saying that the US purchased half of the aid, and the other half donated. We still don't know the whole story. Which aid was paid for, which was donated? How much did the US pay Russia? Why didn't we know about the payment sooner?
