It is astounding how easy it’s become to buy from an online seller you’ve never shopped at before. I needed some @americancrew hair product to tame the mane this morning. DDG to find their site, search to find product, add to cart, instant checkout with Apple Pay. Total < 30s!!
That ease of use was previously the domain the likes of Amazon. Between @Shopify and Apple Pay, it’s been democratized across the entire e-commerce sector. All we need now is for consumer behavior to catch up. Don’t shop at Amazon if you can avoid it (and you almost always can!).
Cutting out the middlemen was exactly what the internet was all about. But instead we’ve gone through the dark ages of consolidation and monopolization. This newfound ease of use is a seedling. Please help water it 🙏❤️
