March 13th she saw her primary care doc with some symptoms & was prescribed the z-pac and steroids as a first step. They had no effect.
Followup phone consult last week: More steroids and cough syrup. "If your cough does not improve by the end of the steroids, come in for a chest X-ray. Orders are on file."
Her condition deteriorates: Husband calls the medical center: "Yes, the orders are on file for your wife, but call the doctor first."
Her doctor was not working today. Despite x-ray orders being on file, his replacement said 1) No X-ray 4U ) How about another zpac & phone chat?

But wait. It gets better. Replacement doc looks at her chart, sees she has had therapy in the past & asks: "Gee. Do you think you might simply be depressed?"

Two weeks of fever, cough, terrible headaches and brain fog, no taste and complete fatigue.
Despite these classic symptoms, she's been denied a Corona test twice because she's had "no known exposure to a confirmed case."

She's a breath away from 60, has asthma (usually well controlled) and her husband--in his mid-60s--has COPD.
She's following the rules. Quarantining. NOT going to Maui Memorial Hospital (where staff is now starting to test positive.)
