1/ Drives me insane that a lot of newspaper analysis of what went on in Wisconsin yesterday is only about the partisan fight between (D) Governor and (R-controlled) legislature.

This was literally a fight about maintaining conservative control of State Supreme Court, and....
2/ The conservatives on the State Supreme Court voted to try and keep that control and the conservatives on the US Supreme Court upheld it.

God love The Daily, but that really should have been mentioned.
3/ It is the further devolution of the entire judicial system into a purely partisan operation. They're saying the quiet part out loud now, quite clearly.
4/ The more that conservatives rest their hopes for power on depriving people of the vote and having won other two branches, securing and wielding judicial might to hold onto power instead of, idk, appealing to more voters the more undemocratic this country becomes.
