By which I mean a billionaire from wall street who rolls his own a voter analytics/political propaganda shop to loophole campaign finance limits and enjoy unaccountable use of personal data blended with voter files for his own personal agenda.
And if Hawkfish should find itself embroiled on data abuse scandal when the election season is over and whistleblowers emerge, I would direct Mike to abandon the company in bankruptcy court to follow Bob Mercer’s lead on that trick.
You might think you could at least review the Hawkfish privacy policy but there is no website I can find. Hey but it’s pandemic. Who needs privacy anymore? Biden needs to win by any and all means. It is what it is. I guess.

You’ll recall that the Mercers leveraged their voter analytics shop to preference Ted Cruz from nothing to something while cult-itvating Trump and eventually switching horses after the primaries. This is all so familiar now. Wall St data guru seeks to leverage data to pick Potus.
So yeah it’s patriotic duty now to support Biden but also give him hell about Hawkfish.
The Hawkfish offering to liberals and leftists alike is: Let us wage war like they did. Winning is all that matters. We must exploit all the data and all the tools and media. Let’s worry about how it’s bad after we win. Try not to be distracted by the “liberal” billionaire.
Most academics assert that political advertising is at best horse manure and ain’t worth the cost. The Biden and Bloomberg primary campaign seem to prove that out. Biden spent nearly zero and won easily and Bloomberg spent a gagillion and lost brutally. And yet…
Also fitting that Mercer and Bloomberg are not only data tech savants (mega successful industrial-grade algorithms and dataviz) but also mini media moguls (Breitbart and Bloomberg LP). One was elected to office tho so there’s that.
