A scenario.
In red zones you have the unchecked virus. People going “back to work”, stopping social distancing, refusing vaccination, just let it rip.
In green zones you have the unlimited government. Masks, tracing, surveillance till the pandemic passes and then likely beyond.

These are the two camps I see emerging.
If you think it’s just-the-flu, or think the virus is serious but that the least bad option is a let-it-rip approach that may leave many dead, that’s red zone.
If you have the opposite perspective, that’s green zone.

The ideal of course is a competent centralized state that uses its powers to prevent the spread of the virus such that people don’t have to choose between viral anarchy and the total state.
