look at that NYT headline, Trump “could have seen” crisis coming. that’s the preferred media narrative—Trump just missed it bc he was distracted

sorry, doesn’t add up. nobody “misses” a looming pandemic weeks in the making
he was *joking* abt pandemic for weeks. how does that fit into idea he “missed” it?

can’t wait to tell them abt a bridge in Bklyn for sale
it's a key reason why Limbaugh and others feel comfortable lying for a living. they know the press, esp NYT, will be there to lift them up and never hold them accountable
btw, i'd peg his ratings at closer to 3M.

but press has been using his utterly bogus numbers for years. (the number literally comes from his producer)

gosh this is bad. Trump lies abt pandemic for 90 mins everyday at briefing, so WP dings Biden for saying he called for invoking Defense Production Act “several weeks ago” when it was only two weeks ago
there’s actually no law that demands DC press push Both Sides. it’s done voluntarily

2. we've seen excellent, in-depth reporting on *what* went wrong and how Trump ignored every conceivable public health and nat'l security warning all winter.
Left unexamined—why?
3. some of the coverage tries to explain the unprecedented action of refusing to protect the public, claiming Trump was "slow" to see warnings, there was WH "infighting" etc.
