There are the nurses. Hot and sticky in their PPE. Organising morphine for patients, not egg hunts for their children - because illness does not respect public holidays. (4/7)
And then there are the patients. The extraordinary patients. Who face what remains of their lives with more strength, dignity, courage and generosity than you could ever imagine. (5/7)
“I don’t worry about catching coronavirus,” one told me today. “But promise me you will all keep safe. I couldn’t bear it if any of you caught it.” (6/7)
