I think this idea of testing for the sake of it is not helpful. If you do shutdown and contact tracing better, then your testing will seemingly be more efficient. With 91% contact tracing claims by @NCDCgov it follows why testing is more targeted and efficient. We can do more tho
One thing that is clear is that if you miss too many people vis tests, it shows up in your emergency room and morgue. Despite the seemingly low testing numbers, and no upsurge in deaths or strain on ICUs, only good contact tracing explains it. Follow the experts.

I think at some point it needs to be pointed out that discriminately setting the amount citizens can withdraw from a bank upon demand is technically illegal as it is my money & the essence of currency is that I can ask for it as I demand. You can charge a fee but not refuse me.
If the @cenbank is so incompetent in providing new currencies it should say and do what other central banks do when swapping notes: progressive elaboration. It is possible to exchange notes unannounced the way other free economies do instead of inducing economic panic
If the primary goal of changing the currency is to reduce the cash we have in hand, this current policy is more likely to discourage Nigerians from banking as cash is suddenly supreme. The trauma of Emefielization will be less trust in banks, more cash & less financial inclusion

The Nigerian Police urgently needs to be devolved. The police council as it is constituted today can effectively do it under a transition arrangement without requiring a constitutional amendment. It should be LG based and community not state governor controlled. It is not working
Whether the video making rounds is true or not is mute. A unitary police system is a complete and utter failure. Only local police specific to the 774 LGAs of the nation, funded locally with additional block grants from FG and States can secure a diverse, federal union.
The easiest way to achieve this is for the Police Council made up of the 36 Governors, IG & President to set up community policing committees by gazette with stakeholder representation, & delegate the powers of police operational management & control to them- away from IGP.

In every regime since 1993, they were strategic actors or bystanders.

ING 1993 & Abacha Regime- Kingibe Faction was incorporated.

Obasanjo 1999 - 2003 - Atiku Faction was incorporated and beat the Kingibe faction to VP. MKO Faction went into AD and focused on regional base.
Obasanjo 2003- 2007- The Atiku faction was significantly weakened. Obasanjo sought to build power base. Kingibe faction watched. MKO faction became AC with Tinubu as leader.

Yaradua 2007-2010 - Kingibe Faction returned briefly as partner with new PDM. Weak partnership fails

Folks always delude themselves about delegates and their behavior. I always find external analyst views, especially journalists, interesting on these matters and they always seem to miss it. Because not all delegates, like all elections, are equal. #DelicateDelegateInsights
Not all elections are the same, and delegates are not given enough credit as to how savvy they’re about these things. Delegates are politicians, first and foremost - and want to win, which is the most important factor to them: not money, not godfather. #DelicateDelegateInsights
The method of voting also determine the behavior of delegates. Where absolute secret ballot is guaranteed, they can behave very independently, whereas if there is more close marking by their benefactors like serialized or coloured ballots- they toe line. #DelicateDelegateInsights

I remember the parties using the passing of this Act as a hammer to beat up on the President. The man signed it and now they have in it errors that exclude themselves from the delegate game. Who is the blame? 🤦🏿🤣#ElectoralActDebacle
Even when they made constitutional errors for self interest, by requiring appointees to resign (I support the notion morally, but cannot usurp the constitution) and the President asked for amendment they snubbed him. Now they’re stuck. LOL #ElectoralActDebacle
