If you're going to compare COVID-19 to the seasonal flu, first you need to model how many seasonal flu deaths there would be if the entire country were on lockdown. Or, model how many COVID-19 deaths there would be with a vaccine.
Or, model how many COVID-19 deaths there would be if you could quickly, easily get a rapid test at your doctor and if Tamiflu would fix it.
Or, model how many COVID-19 deaths there would be if you do nothing.
Another thing to model: how many people die from lack of medical care due to an overwhelmed system during seasonal flu? How many die from the same due to COVID-19? Does that matter, or nah?
You should also model if the seasonal flu were only caused by one strain of a virus vs. several.
You should also model what would happen if the seasonal flu had a higher reproductive number as COVID-19 does.
Maybe also model what would happen if children weren't at risk for seasonal flu, or what would happen if they WERE at risk for COVID-19.
