Ukraine's security service announced the arrest of its own general, Valery Shaytanov, on charges of being FSB's highest-ranking asset in Ukraine. Audio recordings suggest Shaytanov, handled by FBS's Col. Igor Egorov, plotted assassination of Adam Osmaev
Adam Osmaev, an ethnic Chechen, has been wanted by Russia on charges of "terrorism and ... plot to assassinate Vladimir Putin". His wife was killed in Kyiv in 2017 during the second attempt on Osmaev's life while in Ukraine.
In this conversation between Col. Egorov and the (undisclosed) contract killer, which allegedly took place in France, FSB's Egorov agrees to a $200k success fee. (We will investigate & try to validate this story independetly) 
In this tapped convo in Kiev, Maj. Gen Shaytanov instructs the would-be assassin how to take care of clearing his tracks after - presumably - the murder. Based on the quality of audio, it appears the contract killer was wired - and likely worked with the SBU for this sting op.
FSB's Col. Egorov promises the would-be killer - in addition to the 200k bounty - a Russian passport and a Russian military officer (retired) status, in order for his "pension to be taken care of"
The latest meeting between the would-be killer and the FSB handler took place in February 2020 in Germany. This while Germany itself was investigating FSB's murder of another Chechen on its own territory. Pretty brazen.
Based on a review of Col. Egorov's travel schedule, in 2014-2016 he was closely involved with the war in Ukraine, with nearly weekly trips to Rostov, Crimea and Krasnodar - the three "control centers" for Ukrainian operations for the FSB
Based on the frequency of this trips - and some of his co-travelers - I think Col. Egorov was one of the key Russian "military advisors" based in DNR/LNR previously known only by their code names. I may even have an idea who that is.
Moreover, FSB's Col. Egorov is a high-ranking member of the "Vympel Charitable Fund" - the same organization that we @derspiegel and @the_ins_ru identified as the direct organizers of the Berlin Kleiner Tiergarten murder last August.
