30 million acres of U.S. farmland were held by foreign investors as of 2015. Nearly the size of Ohio.

China’s ownership of U.S. farmland has grown 10x in a decade.

This is a national security issue.

Every state should ban or restrict foreign entities from owning our farmland.
Long term I view this as potentially more dangerous than the virus we’re all shutdown over. Our food, medicine, weapons and most valuable technology should all be made in the U.S. on land owned by U.S. companies or citizens. Anything less is a threat to our national security.
Some of you asked me if Americans can do the same thing and buy land in China. The answer is no. Americans are not allowed to buy land in China at all. Even leasing land is an arduous process but Americans cannot own any land in China. We should not be selling farmland to them.
