The WHO was publicly urging countries *in Jan.* to prepare for "containment" defined by "active surveillance, early detection, isolation, case management and contact tracing."

Trump was wrongly claiming the virus would "work out well" and thanking Pres. Xi in Jan.

Sanders responds by saying "in all likelihood" he would do the same, putting a "progressive woman" on the ticket if he won
Biden has previously pledged to appoint a black woman to SCOTUS; the running mate pledge sounds the most ironclad to date.
