Athletically supreme and technically gifted, Achraf Hakimi is the perfect wing-back.

Soon, he will have a huge decision to make. #WednesdayWisdom

[THREAD][1/10]
"In June, I will have to make a decision and it will be a great step for my career."

1) Displace Dani Carvajal
2) Stay at Borussia Dortmund
3) Join a completely new club

Every option is possible for this hyper-talented player.

[2/10]
At the end of the season, Achraf Hakimi's two-year loan at BVB will be over.

In that time, the 21-year-old has established himself as one of the most complete wing-backs in the world.

Left, right, full-back, wing-back, winger; he has excelled in every role.

[3/10]
Real Madrid is Achraf Hakimi's boyhood club.

Joining in 2006 at the age of eight, he became the first Moroccan international to represent the club in LaLiga in December 2017.

That same season, he also became the first Moroccan to receive a UCL winner's medal.

[4/10]
Out of 331 wing-backs with 900+ minutes in a top five European league, the Eredivisie or Primeira Liga, Hakimi is the only one with 4+ touches inside the opposition box *and* 3+ recoveries in his defensive ⅓ per 90 minutes.

End-to-end, all the time.

[5/10]
Limitless stamina and electric pace combine to make his underlaps and overlaps devastating, creating chasms of space for his more advanced teammates.

In the Bundesliga, Hakimi has played on both flanks - this versatility is yet another string to his bow.

[6/10]
In Europe's top five leagues, Gelson Martins is the only player to have featured at wing-back this season that averages more touches inside the opposition box per 90 minutes.

Hakimi loves to get forward and does it at every opportunity.

[7/10]
Of the aforementioned 331 wing-backs, only Filip Kostić and Alphonso Davies have completed more take-ons in total.

If you're interested in cold, hard assists, only Trent Alexander-Arnold (12) has more. In open play, Hakimi leads the way (10) with 2x as many as TAA (5).

[8/10]
Dani Carvajal, a four-time Champions League winner, will not be an easy man to force out of the Real Madrid side. But if Zidane keeps faith with his veteran, Hakimi should leave.

The high-flying full-back must start next season, for whichever team he finds himself at.

[9/10]
And if all that was not enough, in 2019, Borussia Dortmund's No.5 posted the fastest top speed ever recorded in a Bundesliga match.

The new poster boy for wing-backs is here: his name is Achraf Hakimi.
