PMJT: today we are announcing we will be topping up pay of essential workers, expanding CERB for those earning some (not $0), seasonal workers, and EI exhaustees.

PMJT: Talking to Premiers tomorrow evening to improve protections of seniors in nursing homes.
For essential workers and long term facility workers earning <$2500 a month: they will receive a top up.

PMJT: Tomorrow in our weekly meeting with P/T leaders, will discuss how to get this wage boost in place as quickly as possible.
Workers who are the most important line of defence, will support you at this time.

PMJT: millions receive CERB, but yet more didn't get help. We are relaxing criteria. If you earn $1K or less a month you can now receive CERB. Many people don't work as many hours as before, and many are adjusting to contract/gig work.

PMJT: CERB also will be available to those who ran out of EI benefits and can't get work, as well as seasonal workers whose working season will not now start.
Musicians, artists, they will also be eligible.

PMJT: People making $1K a month or less will now be able to get the CERB ($2K a month) along with those who ran out of EI, and those whose seasonal work won't materialize.
