The false information – that COVID-19 could not be transmitted from human-to-human contact – delayed the declaration of a global emergency by weeks and kept borders with China open to most countries.
A Southampton study in the UK has revealed that if the WHO had asked countries to close borders one week earlier 66% of deaths would not have happened.

If it acted in EARLY JANUARY, when it was first warned, 95% of the deaths so far would not have happened.

Contamination at CDC lab delayed rollout of coronavirus tests washingtonpost.com/investigations…
The CDC facilities that assembled the kits violated sound manufacturing practices, resulting in contamination of one of the three test components used in the highly sensitive detection process, the scientists said.
The cross contamination most likely occurred because chemical mixtures were assembled into kits w/in a lab space that was also handling synthetic coronavirus material. The scientists also said the proximity deviated from accepted procedures and jeopardized testing for the virus.

Minnesota remains on lockdown under @GovTimWalz‘s current lockdown regime at least until May 4. Gov. Walz promulgated the lockdown regime on March 25 on the assertion that, absent his order, 74,000 Minnesotans would die of COVID-19.
Since that date he has backtracked, reshuffled, and talked, talked, talked. The guy can talk more or less like a normal Minnesotan, but faster, and at great length.

Kurdish authorities in the region of northeastern Syria where U.S. troops are based slammed the WHO for failing to inform them until now that a man who died on April 2 was found to have been infected with coronavirus, the first evidence that covid-19 has taken hold in the region.
“We, the health directorate, blame the World Health Organization for the existence and the spread of coronavirus among our citizens, because it has covered up a suspected case and did not inform the autonomous administration,” said the statement.
