What happens next will require the most skillful use of diplomacy, intelligence, and national resolve that America can muster.
Here's how this fmr CIA Officer thinks we should do it.

For the past several months, Trump's team has been doing exactly that. The US intel community, Dept of Defense, & State Department have been tasking sources and collecting corroborating info.
That will continue.

The evidence we collect must come from multiple types of intel -- human spies, phone intercepts, emails -- & multiple sources of each.
It should also contain intel from allies.
They should all say the same: China is culpable.
The former would go to foreign governments, building the foundation for a global response to hold China accountable.
The latter should be revealed by Trump in an Oval Office address to the nation.
We need to rally around the flag.
-Theft of intellectual prop
-Facilitation of NK nuke program
-Assisting Iranian missile program
-Engaging in human rights abuses
-Ignoring slaughter of endangered animals
-Etc
Each nation will respond to different pleas. For instance, the slaughter of endangered animals resonates with many African nations that have suffered from poaching for traditional Chinese medicines in wet markets.

If Trump & the world can get Putin on board -- drug deals will need to be made, eg Crimea -- then Prex. Xi will break.
Engagement of the citizenry of each country will be of vital importance.
They've spent 30 years building a global network of economic allies and useful idiots.
They'll leverage those relationships and push back.
We'll need to adjust our strategy as the backbones of allies weaken.
Consider Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) saying China bears no blame for the virus, but Trump does.

And we'll have to shut them down through better arguments, better organization, and grass roots engagement with our friends and neighbors.
It'll be a battle for the hearts and the minds of every single voter.
America loses if Biden wins.
Joe is compromised by his continued denials of the threat China poses, plus his own family's corrupt ties to Beijing (eg - Hunter's receipt of $1.5B in 2013).

And now we're paying the price.
But there's a narrow window of time to change everything.
