The US is waging a hybrid war against China to contain, balkanize and economically sabotage it. US imperialism will not allow a socialist country to overtake it. This war is escalating and we need to understand it. Here's my analysis:

izaknovak.wordpress.com/2020/04/17/62/
"Much like how the early Communist Party of China escaped encirclement by the KMT via the Long March, China is today faced with the prospect of a “New Long March” against US imperialism.
Not only is China attempting to build the necessary material base for socialism, but to make it strong enough to withstanding the competing pressures of existing capitalist rivals.
The method by which China, a vast country with a huge population starting from an extremely low economic base, takes to this end is not going to apply to other countries with differing levels of production. Instead, a scientific approach based on “实事求是" is required.
What resulted from this bargain, as controlled by the state, is the “economic miracle” that I’m sure you are aware of- unprecedented growth in economic output and huge gains in the living standards of people with a massive reduction in poverty.
Life expectancy has soared from 43.7 years in 1960 to 76.7 in 2018

Adult literacy has risen from 65% in 1982 to 96% in 2018.
Extreme poverty has been virtually eliminated since 1990, with the $1.90/day headcount falling from 66.2% in 1990 to 0.5% in 20168 and the $3.20/day headcount falling from 47% to 1%. Other measures of poverty are on a steep decline.
Average yearly wages have grown dramatically in the last 25 years, going from 5,348 Yuan in 1995 to 74,318 Yuan in 2017 for workers in urban state, collective and other non-private enterprises. For private urban employment, avg wages have more than doubled between 2009 and 2017.
Average wages in the non-private sector are about 47% higher than the private sector, indicating that the state system is to a large degree pulling the wage floor up.
China is now, by far, the world’s leader in renewable energy with over 788,000 MW of total installed capacity in 2019. The closest competitor, the USA, has about 1/3rd of that capacity
China has become a world leader in science and technology. By one measure, patent applications by residents in China have exploded from about 4,000 in 1985 to 1.3 million in 2018. By comparison, Japan saw just 253,630 in 2018.
Gains in science and technology have translated into major military and defense achievements. In 2014, China became one of the first countries to successfully test a hypersonic glide vehicle, the DF-ZF.
China is now the world leader in transportation infrastructure. As of 2018, China had 17,000 miles of high speed rail or 60% of the world’s total.
Chinese SOEs are world leaders. These include the world’s largest, or near-largest: Telecom, energy company, bank, infrastructure company, railway, metals company, shipping company, mobile telecom and automobile company. The 4 largest banks in the world are Chinese SOEs.
While the CPC has exercised a sophisticated multi-level strategy of preventing capital from forming class consciousness or exerting political control, it has also pursued a direct strategy of establishing CPC committees within private companies.
Not only are these committees widespread, they are beginning to take an active role in strategic decisions made by companies. This has sparked a flurry of concerned reporting from Western media and is likely contributing greatly to the US’ current strategic attitude towards China
For US imperialism, the failure of market reforms to undo the CPC and socialist construction is a major issue. Market reforms and a semi-open economy in China were supposed to not only afford huge benefits to US capitalism but destroy the ideological base and power of the CPC.
It has become clear to US empire planners that China’s collapse is not coming anytime soon, and that they have gotten the losing end of the bargain."
I would like for this article to be as collaborative and fluid as possible: if you have tips/news articles on the current hybrid war on China that you think are important, I want to add to them to the fourth section. My DMs are open. Thanks friends.
Major Global Times editorial on 5/8:

"China needs to prepare for a long-term challenge[...]it's an urgent task for China to expand its nuclear arsenal and strengthen its strategic strike capacities." globaltimes.cn/content/118778…
Some points from the editorial:
-Strengthen ties with US allies by narrowing differences rather than enlarging them
-Boost nuclear arsenal
-Prepare for "worst-case scenario" WRT technology export restrictions
-Have patience, US is the one that is distressed

I'm truly terrified by how sophisticated, hegemonic and effective anti-China propaganda has become. The English speaking world has been so relentlessly blanketed in the two "Big Lies" about China (HK/Xinjiang) and many small lies, that they've created an alternate reality.
Trying to have a conversation with someone who only gets their information about China from the NYT or Reddit is borderline impossible. This is how the propaganda works: it becomes self-perpetuating and self-reinforcing.
First, you establish the baseline lie: "China is oppressing Xinjiang" Then, anything that has to do with Xinjiang becomes toxic because "that's where China is oppressing people" so we end up with the mask story: "your masks are made by oppressed people in XJ"

Cheng Enfu, leading Marxist intellectual in China from CASS, wrote an article in 2012 that lays out competing political currents in China and the dominant current in the CPC that he calls "Innovative Marxism":

cpim.org/sites/default/…
Key points on his definition of Innovative Marxism:

- Insists on the guiding position of Marxism in China
- Adheres to the leadership of the political party of the working class in China
- Insists on the dominant position of public ownership of the means of production in China
"Innovative Marxism believes that China must adhere to the socialist nature and principle, aiming at emancipating and developing productive forces, while eliminating exploitation and polarization so as to achieve common prosperity, and ultimately realizing communism (...)

Is China trying to build hegemony? Is it imperialist? No, and any comparison to US hegemony or imperialism requires an immense amount of mental gymnastics especially when China-Global South relations are so strong and views of China are so positive. Additionally,
When we look at the structure of US imperialism we have to understand its basis in a few things:
-The concentration of private financial capitalism overseeing private monopolies (China has neither)
-Settler colonialism (not China)
-Fascist white supremacy (not China)
The fake left, boosted by the CIA and adjacent media, have worked tirelessly for decades to try to paint China as the mirror image of the US: "It's just capitalism", they're "Han supremacist" or "they're colonizing Africa" etc. All of this is baseless projection.

They are going to normalize the virus and make us all risk our lives to keep capitalism moving and that surplus value flowing.

The narrative is already being prepared, be ready for this:
"Old people and at-risk people stay home, the rest go back to work."

Theyre not going to let capitalism grind to a halt, and are starting to realize relief packages could undo decades of class warfare.

The capitalist class panic is setting in and they are gonna normalize it.
I knew as soon as I read what was being considered in the relief packages- this will not be allowed to last. Suspension of evictions, cash payments, paid leave... These were all withheld as class warfare tools. No way they're going to let that cat out of the bag so easily.

China is also funding life-saving desalinization plants in Gaza to overcome Israeli blockade, and there's no way Israel would tolerate this if China didn't have relations with Israel. China also routinely votes against Israel in the UN on issues of Palestinian rights.
Here's a November statement from PRC Ambassador Zhang Jun clearly stating China's support of Palestine's right to independent statehood, condemning Israeli settlements/house demolitions, and reaffirming China's economic and political cooperation with Palestine. Image
"Two water desalination plants funded by the Chinese gov't opened this month in a poor Palestinian village in the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip, allowing the villagers instant access to free clean water." -January, 2020 Image

The United States is the most evil country to have ever existed on the face of the Earth, born out of slavery and genocide, millions upon millions of wasted lives fed to the American imperial machine. It continues to strangle the world with 800 bases and economic domination.
The United States has no legitimacy on any issue ever, its defenders have no right to speak. Here, let's take a brief sampling of it's crimes that need to be addressed:

-native American genocide and land theft
-hundreds of years of slavery and Jim crow (which never ended)
-the strangulation of Latin America via the Monroe Doctrine and the dozens of coups and interventions that brought death to millions
-a diabolical structure of white supremacy that aligns white workers with capitalists against the interests of the proletariat
