This week at @Glitch, we launched a paid membership — it makes running apps on Glitch as easy as it is to create them, and you get a shiny little upgrade to your account, too! You should check it out! glitch.com/pricing
But so many thoughtful details have to work perfectly to get all the components of this kind of thing to work. So I wanted to give a glimpse into a few different team members at Glitch, for a look into how this work happens. (And how lucky I am to work with amazing people!)
Victoria led engineering on this product launch, doing an incredible job of coordinating tons of moving pieces while _actually shipping on time_! 😳🤯
In this thread, Keith explains brilliantly both how things have evolved over the course of this process and also the feel behind what we’re trying to create.
Edwin offers an incredible look behind the scenes at the design process and thinking that go into making Glitch look completely unique while still being something people can understand and connect with.
And Cori does a perfect job of succinctly capturing the real human connections that inspire so much of our work at Glitch — both between our team members, *and* with the community.
Jenn’s focused on the community as always, amplifying so many amazing projects and ideas that people are creating with Glitch, especially using all the new features.
James speaks for all of us who are lucky enough to be leaders at Glitch, in how proud we are to get to work with a team that cares so much about making something that’s good and worthy of people’s time & attention.
And I’ll give last work to Cassie, who points out that our team has been able to execute on all of this during one of the most stressful, unprecedented moments we’ve ever seen. All thanks to the inspiration of our community.
These are just a handful of people on our team sharing their perspectives — *so* many more worked so hard, day after day, to create something we’re proud of, a start to delivering all the things the Glitch community has asked for.
Honestly it’d be easy to say “it’s just some coding tool, who cares while the world is in disarray?” But creating things, having a healthy place on the internet, giving people tools to solve problems — those things matter. I’m thankful to everyone who makes Glitch something good.
