What is so pathetic here is if Trump was competent and GOP/Trump were not endlessly short-sighted (comes from playing for the Fox theme of the day, rather than policy) they could have been the COVID economic/public health heroes. They couldve followed South Korea's example.../1
..& have a major shut down for few weeks, having multiple back-ups for testing kits, massive testing & contact tracing, huge pre-orders of PPE, recruitment of available doctors/nurses (there are many who dont work in hospitals, but would). All while leading a global response.../2
