Would @cartoonistmathi draw a similar cartoon of a Hindu god statue ? Choosing Anna for this cartoon shows Mathi's bias or rather hatred for dravidian icons. 
Mathi, who is now with @dinathanthi use to be scathing on DMK/Karunanidhi between 2006-11. It's his liberty as a cartoonist. But the same Mathi, was conspicuously silent on Jaya, till her death.
His erstwhile editor Vaidhyanathan & Mathi were so vengeful on Karunanidhi that for one cartoon, Karunanidhi got so upset & issued a lengthy statement. I am surprised why @dinathanthi which established itself swimming against brahmin hegemony in media is allowing this.
This cartoon of Anna, is not only in cheap taste, but also mischievous & explicitly portrays hate. I stop short of casting aspersions. Expect @dinathanthi to issue an apology. Surprising, @AIADMKOfficial which carries Anna's name, is curiously silent.
