Democratic Majority For Israel's Super PAC, @DMFIPAC, celebrated their role in stopping Bernie Sanders from becoming Democratic presidential nominee.

Records from January to March 2020 further reveal who is/was behind this AIPAC-front group.

Thread.
Andrew Viterbi contributed $200,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 11 and March 10. Viterbi is 85 year-old co-founder of Qualcomm. He's given millions to boost electrical engineering for Israeli security companies.
Andrew Viterbi previously was a trustee in "Leadership Circle" for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy (WINEP), a pro-Israel think tank. WINEP's neoconservative Viterbi Program On Iran And US Policy is named after him.
Andrew Viterbi is major Democratic Party donor. He gave $100,000 to Senate Majority PAC in 2018 and $100,000 to Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund in 2019. He also gave $50,000 to Unite The Country, Joe Biden's Super PAC, and $5,000 to Pro Israel America PAC.
Andrew Viterbi contributed $100,000 to Leadership Alliance, Sen. Bob Menendez's super PAC.

Menendez supports making it federal crime for citizens to encourage boycotts of Israel. He's advocated for People's Mujahedin of Iran (MEK), a terrorist group.

Alan Viterbi, son of Andrew Viterbi, donated $100,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 11. He is a past chair of AIPAC's San Diego Council and CEO of Liquid Environmental Solutions.

Alan Viterbi pioneered technology for traffic photo enforcement as CEO of U.S. Public Technologies, which Lockheed Martin bought in January 1999. He worked for defense contractor for two years and was member of Lockheed's "state and local government subsidiary."
Rick Kornfeld donated $50,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 13. Kornfeld has been political chair of AIPAC's San Diego Council. He's connected to Viterbi Family, as he worked for Qualcomm. He's been part of national AIPAC council.

Rick Kornfeld's family trust also donated $50,000 more to the anti-Bernie Sanders super PAC.
Mark Rubin donated $50,000 to @DMFIPAC on March 3. He is CEO of Maric Inc, a real estate company in Massachusetts.
Alan Levow donated $25,000 on January 29 and $25,000 on March 9. In 2016, he was the chair of the AIPAC Tomorrow Campaign, an initiative that allows individuals to "invest" their estate in the future of US-Israel relations.
Alan Levow is a principal for Crowne Partners in Georgia, a "real estate development and investment company which primarily focuses on the development and purchase of luxury multifamily communities."

Linda Dresner donated $100,000 on February 18. Dresner is AIPAC Partner for Tomorrow. She created an AIPAC Tomorrow Legacy with a charitable lead trust "to build, protect, and preserve the Jewish State" through her "permanent connection to AIPAC."
Linda Dresner is a Never Trump Republican, who supports right-wing Democrats. She donated $5,600 to Mitch McConnell in 2019. She donated $10,000 to Michigan Republican Party, $5,600 to Joni Ernst, and $5,600 to John Cornyn.
Linda Dresner is "not a real Democrat." She actively opposed and undermined President Barack Obama through her donations to Republican Party. Yet, in 2020, Dresner helped create conditions for Joe Biden to become Democratic Party's presidential nominee.
Milton Cooper donated $100,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 14. The 91 year-old is a member of AIPAC's National Real Estate Committee, and he's contributed to American Israel Education Foundation as well as Friends of Israel Defense Forces.
In 2019 video from AIPAC, Milton Cooper said, "With Israel, we have title to a piece of land," and, "We have been tenants at will and those tenancies have been terminated on short notice. So Israel has a special place as a piece of real estate that belongs to our people."
Milton Cooper previously donated $150,000 to @DMFIPAC in November. That means during the primary he donated a quarter of a million dollars to pro-Israel Super PAC that funded attack ads against Bernie Sanders.
Michael Hackman donated $25,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 13. Hackman is also part of AIPAC's National Real Estate Committee, and he is CEO of Hackman Capital Partners, which has pioneered gentrification in southern California by transforming industrial property into office spaces.
Richard Pachulski, a "preeminent corporate restructuring" attorney, donated $25,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 13. That's in addition to the $25,000 Pachulski donated in 2019.

Jan Zakowski donated $15,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 22. She is the daughter of Larry Weinberg, who was AIPAC president and chairman emeritus of AIPAC’s strategic planning committee.
You may have noticed that many of these individuals who donated large sums to @DMFIPAC have clear ties to AIPAC. But Mark Mellman, president of this anti-Sanders super PAC, would like you to believe the two are completely "separate and independent." nytimes.com/2019/01/28/us/…
Tony Davis donated $25,000 to @DMFIPAC on February 12. He is a managing partner and co-founder of Linden Capital Partners in Chicago.

He is on the board of the PAC, Pro-Israel America.
This is by no means an exhaustive list of everyone who contributed to @DMFIPAC in the past few months to stop Bernie Sanders, but it does cover vast majority of wealthy people who donated large sums.

A prior thread covered donations to super PAC in 2019.
Two ads were produced to discourage support for Bernie Sanders in early states.

"Electable" ad invoked Sanders' heart attack to imply Sanders might die in office if became president. It also seized upon dominant media narrative that he was unelectable.
The "November" ad continued to push narrative that Sanders was not a Democrat who could defeat Donald Trump because he was divisive and a socialist. Second ad did not mention heart attack.
In both @DMFIPAC ads that aired in early states, Israel was never mentioned, even though the primary reason the super PAC exists is to promote and protect the interests of Israeli government.
With Bernie Sanders' campaign over, @DMFIPAC is focused on disrupting congressional races for the benefit of eight candidates: Joyce Beatty, Henry Cuellar, Eliot Engel, Alcee Hastings, Carolyn Maloney, Kathy Manning, and Kweisi Mfume.
.@DMFIPAC endorsed Joe Biden on March 9. They cheered his past support for Israel's Iron Dome missile defense system, as well as his role in "codifying the largest-ever level of U.S. security assistance to Israel" when he was Vice President in Obama's administration.
In 1986, Joe Biden demanded people stop "apologizing" for supporting Israel. "There's no apology to be made. None. It is the best $3 billion investment we make. Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel."
