My top 20 (final) CB thread starts NOW!

I tend to get a ton of comments while I’m still posting to the thread... very difficult to tweet back and post the thread lol but here we go
CB10 Parnell Motley - Oklahoma
So I’m watching Denzel Mims and this dude number 11 was making life difficult for him. And I’m like who the hell is this dude? So of course I google search him.. ok Parnell Motley.. I look up his combine numbers. Wasn’t invited. WASNT INVITER?? 🤔 so I go back to the Baylor game
Straps. Gave Mims fits. Gave up a contested catch early on. Slant route. Motley draped all over him. Gave up a couple off coverage catches underneath. But press man.. straps. Ran the routes for Mims. In his hip pocket all game
Now Mims had success on the other corner so what did OU do? You damn right.. had Motley follow Mims. And it was really tough on Mims. Guarded a dbl move from off coverage perfectly. Forced a fumble. Tackled well. It was a great performance.
Did the same thing to Reagor. That was a great battle. Better battle than Motley vs Mims. Couple times Reagor got Motley on routes. But good competitive battle
Fluid mover. Really good feet. I think he plays with sound technique. Especially at the LOS. Isn’t the biggest guy. Ran 4.5 .. I’m sure would’ve liked to jump better. 30” vert.. not ideal at all lol decent length arms. His film is better than his testing
I think he’s someone that gets drafted later.. 5th round or so. But should go higher. Good film. Ton of confidence. I can see it with how he plays. Had tough match ups and battled. CB10
CB9 Noah Igbinoghene - Auburn
I don’t have a ton to say about him. I don’t have a full on Motley story lol but he’s one of the more well rounded corners in this class. Thicker build. 5’10” 198. Legit athlete. Combine numbers pass all the test.
He’s a physical guy. First thing I look at is how well do you play press? I can teach you the rest. I thought he was strong.. his technique was solid.. had some big boy battles vs LSU. Got dunked on in the end zone.. but overall who he was shined through.. outside press man CB
Now I didn’t think he was overly twitchy or anything but I never questioned the type of athlete he is and was shocked to see he’s only 5’10”. I thought he played big which is really good. He’ll probably go higher than a bunch of guys I actually have over him.
CB8 Bryce Hall - Virginia

Was CB4 in initial rankings
Hall would’ve been my CB1 in last years class before electing to return back to college for his senior year. Maybe the best corner in this class at off man which is interesting considering he’s not the best athlete of the group
I think he’s most comfortable from off. He’s ok at the LOS. I think his change of direction and feet could improve. 2 things that are tough to improve. Big body and I think he plays as such when the ball is in the air.
Last year when watching Hall his motor jumped out to me. Very rarely do you see a kid hustle to the ball the way he does when the play is away from him. I think he’s a higher end zone guy but really does everything well.. nothing great
On film he looks just fast enough. Didn’t participate at the combine recovering from a season ending injury. There seemed to be a little stiffness that I didn’t notice last year but ultimately I think he’s very sound. Might be more of a safety/slot guy but I’d try him outside 1st
CB7 Jeff Gladney - Texas Christian U

Previously CB8
Gladney has all the tools to play inside play outside. Played a ton of press man. I think he’s a high upside guy. He has moments where I’m like “Am I watching Jason Verrett at TCU?” There are a couple spots I think he clean up to be a guy guy
5’10” 190 with long arms but he’s not the biggest guy. Now I’ll be the first to tell you I don’t care about size #Pause but you have to play big. Strong dude.. 17 reps on bench so you know he works hard. Tested well.. good feet and change of direction... Battles
His press technique can be cleaned up. Has all the ability to do so feathers/motors out way too much. One time I saw him motor out 10 yards. Now he stayed square which was excellent lol but stop creating the space for the receiver. My initial thought was he’d get ate up on slants
And then they ran slants on him and sure enough what I thought would happen, happened. Luckily the QB didn’t throw it. I watched one rep on the GL and was like there it is! Do that. Be more consistent with that (all vs Baylor). Another thing I noticed...
From off I want to see he might have bad eyes because he doesn’t really put his foot in the ground to drive on routes. Has the ability to.. just don’t really see it. I think he can challenge himself more. Terrific athlete but doesn’t challenge himself from off enough
Gives too much ground and then lets guys catch it and makes the tackle. Has all the ability. Not a Jaire Alexander type prospect. Comparing their size. But similar ability once he puts it all together.
Name was spelled wrong at first lol here you go Gladney
CB6 AJ Terrell - Clemson

Ranking hasn’t changed
People give Terrell a hard time because of a few bad plays from the LSU game. And that’s the tough thing about CBs. You can have 65 good reps but if you have 2 bad ones, now you suck and can’t play. According to twitter of course lol not the case. Especially with Terrell
Long corner who moves well. Did a great job of challenging Chase and breaking up a few passes before the touchdowns. I think his press technique is very consistent. Has the ability to play outside and inside. I love added value.
I think he can get a little wide and plays a little flat footed at times but doesn’t seem to hurt him too much. Saw him lose balance a few times. In any other class he’d be much higher for me. I actually anticipate him going ahead of my CB5,4 and possibly 3.
CB5 Trevon Diggs - Roll Tide

Previously CB7
Diggs is more projection to me. He’s like poor mans Antonio Cromartie as of now. He has all the ability but it’s clear he’s new to the CB position. Cro, Rhodes. Looks like them.. a good off season crafting and we’ll see if he can play them
CB4 Damon Arnette - The Ohio State

Previous ranking CB5
I have a feeling he won’t get drafted until late day 2 but I love how he plays. Physical... cocky.. confident.. him and Okudah play well off of each other. His T-Rex arms and 4.56 40 won’t stop me from liking him lol 🦖
Plays very well at the catch point. Lack of combine speed didn’t seem to be an issue on film. Watching 2018 vs TCU couldn’t tell who was faster.. Arnette or Reagor?
Can show more urgency breaking from off coverage. Tends to drift at times. Doesn’t close as fast as I think he can. I think it starts with his eyes. If he’s closing as fast as he can then that’s an issue.
As I’m writing about the last 2 guys I think I like Terrell more than them. Yeah I do. I’ll change it on my graphic at the end lol
CB3 Kristian Fulton

Previous ranking CB3
Just put on the Alabama game lol
CB2 Jeff Okudah

Previous ranking CB2

Initial rankings came out like 2 months ago. Top 3 hasn’t changed. I’ll explain below
NOBODY had cleaner film than Okudah last season. NOBOY played the CB position better. Let me start by saying that before Ohio State fans call me a clown lol I’m acknowledging ya boy... BUT I have my questions for him as a PROSPECT.. and my reasons for him being CB2
I’ve said it before, best press bail corner I’ve seen. I also think Ohio States defense and the B1G opponents favored him. He did what he’s supposed to do.. dominate his opponents. Terrific feet/technique. Most aggressive corner in the class. Great zone eyes. Most well rounded
I wanted to see him in match ups where he’s more uncomfortable. I want to see him vs the big dogs are people faster than him. Vs LSU.. vs Alabama. I want to see those match ups. Not Cephusz. No offense..he’s solid. Terrific inside 15 yards but he ain’t scaring anyone w/ that 4.73
Went to the combine and ran 4.48 and 4.50... he’s projected top 5... typically top 5 guys have elite physical traits that can’t be taught. His size is great. Jumped out the building. But can he guard any type of receiver anywhere on the field? Hamler had him on skates a lil
He’s my CB2 in a deep class and there’s a ton to like. Cleanest prospect in years.. but can he guard any type of receiver anywhere on the field? I don’t have the answer to that.
CB1 CJ Henderson - Florida

Previous ranking CB1
Like Okudah.. 6’1” 205... weird thing when watching Henderson, if you didn’t know any better you’d think he was 5’10 185 lol I think he moves that well. Easy mover. Effortlessly runs with ANY TYPE OF RECEIVER from anywhere on the field. Outside.. slot.. doesn’t matter
Gets from 0 to 100 in 1 step to close on the ball. His ability is through the roof and says HIGH CEILING. Clearly he’s not perfect. His tackling can improve. I think it’s waayyyyyyy overblown. Miami game was horrible. Outside of that I’ve seen a miss here n there but not bad
Way more of a willing tackler than twitter would lead you to believe. Take out the poor effort vs Miami and I see know real issue with his tackling efforts. Smart kid. Watched him read his keys to shoot in the backfield vs run.
Traveled with WR1s .. was holding chase to 3 catches for like 20 yards.. 2 of which I believe were RPO’s. And they got him with the pick play wheel route. So when people point to his passer rating vs him.. stuff like that is included. Teammate literally ran into him “context”
All in all he’s a terrific prospect. Can be a little more consistent with technique but it’s not bad at all. When looking at the top prospects you nitpick. Traveling CB1 from the moment he steps in the league. Should go to a team that has more man responsibilities of their cbs
What can’t be taught? One of the main things I think about when looking at the film. 6’1” 205 4.39 speed sticky man coverage skills with the ability to guard any type of receiver anywhere on the field. Tough to teach that. Zone eyes... I can teach that. #CrockyOut ✌🏾
