We need a coordinated nationwide strategy for fighting the virus and this unqualified chucklehead's move is "ban immigration".
I will block every single person I see saying that this immigration ban is "just a distraction" whether they're saying it to me or anyone else.

To be very clear he also wants to ban immigration and is, by current appearances, attempting to do so. It's not *just* to change the conversation. Nothing is just. Nothing about this is just in any sense of the word.
See, if it's a temporary shutdown, he'll be able to open up case-by-case exceptions for the "right" people (and people with the "right" connections) to leave in place targeted bans that would never pass even Roberts Court constitutional muster .
I can actually hear him in my head picking up the rough language we've been using to talk about opening back up slowly and selectively to try to avoid giving the virus a foothold, the same way he glommed on to "fake news".
