The ban on a phrase is silly but sadly standard for this government, the story hugely important. The question that doesn't have an easy answer - how do you manage the coronavirus outbreak if it lasts over a year or more, which seems quite likely.
If we have to manage a coronavirus outbreak over a lengthy period of time the question is not what can be opened now but what is potentially stable over time. And how to create that stability for the essentials.

Horrible figures. You can understand why so many in government are so cautious about relaxing lockdown measures. Government made a mistake in delaying lockdown - but better to work on the next decision not keep defending the last
