The US birthrate has dropped to 1.73. Social Security and Medicare depend on the labor force to pay for retirees. Any expansion of the workforce in the next 15 years will come from immigration: pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017…
Lower immigration rates--not owing to this declaration, but owing to the policies, many of them yours, that have transformed the US from "the world's great talent magnet" to "a place from which more wish to emigrate than to immigrate" will mean our economy collapses.
That is, if it ever recovers in the first place, and it isn't clear it will.
